Artist's Comments

quote here is
"Quoth the raven,
'Nevermore.'"
-Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven

probably the most famous line. anyway, process... again, I started with a drawing, which is the screming guy (its chalk on black tissue paper) and omg that drawing is SUCH a fluke. i happened to see a vague outline of that face (the beakish nose, gaping mouth) in the folds of the paper, and just enhanced it. its a bit worrying really, cause i can't always rely on happy accidents to create strong images. >_> ehhh
photoshop postwork includes collaging the raven coming out of his head, the clock mechanics in the bg and an xray of fingers down in the bottom. and a load of textures :)

i scared myself drawing that guy. *shiver*

Wonderful series. I do enjoy that poem. ^-^ "For Annie" is more intriguing though.

Last night I found myself on the edge of hell.

This morning I found my bed large and empty.

The sunshine means nothing when you wake

To no one beside you.

Now I find myself down the rabbit hole.

If you need me follow the White Rabbit.

AAHHH! Scary! :(
By the way, how are these pictures presented? Are they BIG or big or little big?

Hey, I wanted to let you know I like this very much and thus used it in my Nevermore-related journal entry. [link]

Thank you for sharing!

Of course, if you object to my linking/using it, let me know and I'll remove it from the journal asap.

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be", said the cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
